Finley Mostovsky, Bristol 2026

Finley Mostovsky is a Bristol-based artist and filmmaker working across moving image, drawing, and sound. His practice explores memory, absence, and familial experience through fragmented observational footage — where domestic spaces and natural landscapes become emotionally charged through their arrangement rather than direct explanation.

Recent work includes Home (2026), a video installation exhibited at Spike Island as part of his UWE Degree Show, and Devon (2026). Influenced by artists including Charlotte Prodger and Rashid Johnson, his films prioritise atmosphere and ambiguity, inviting viewers to bring their own associations to the work.

He is currently seeking opportunities in production and creative support roles.

A strangers face
A strangers smile
A strangers voice
A hint of what was,
Glistening in your ashen, smoky hair
Were you ever the man I thought I had
The one I looked up to
Who are you?
Why leave?
Turning on what you once had
A life you'll never witness
Was I not worth staying for?
Even your prophets had favourites
Isaac had Abraham
Jacob had Isaac
Joseph had Jacob
So why didn't I have you?
You had two choices
But neither were enough.
